Privacy Policy
Tally ("Tally," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices, when you visit tallyops.com (the "Site") or otherwise interact with us.
This policy is written for our US-based visitors and clients. It does not address requirements under the EU/UK GDPR.
1. Information We Collect
Automatically, when you visit the Site: We (and tools we use, such as website analytics providers) may automatically collect standard technical information, including your IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, and how you arrived at the Site. This is typically collected through cookies or similar tracking technologies.
When you book a call: Our Site links out to a third-party scheduling tool (e.g., Calendly or similar) to book a call with us. When you use that tool, you're providing information (such as your name, email, and company) directly to that third-party provider, subject to their own privacy policy, not ours. We receive the scheduling details you submit through that tool in order to prepare for and conduct the call.
When you engage us as a client or candidate: If you become a client or a candidate we work with as part of our recruiting services, we collect additional information as needed to provide those services (such as company hiring needs, role details, candidate contact information, resumes, and communications). This information is typically collected directly from you via email, calls, or documents you share with us, not through the Site itself.
We do not currently collect information directly through on-site forms, resume uploads, or newsletter sign-ups on the Site.
2. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
Operate, maintain, and improve the Site
Understand how visitors use the Site (via analytics)
Respond to inquiries and prepare for scheduled calls
Provide our recruiting services to clients, including sourcing, vetting, and coordinating candidates
Communicate with clients and candidates about roles, pipelines, and engagements
Comply with legal obligations
3. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information.
We may share information with:
Service providers who help us operate the Site or our business (e.g., scheduling tools, analytics providers, email/communication tools), who are only permitted to use it to provide services to us
Clients and candidates, as necessary to facilitate a recruiting engagement (for example, sharing a candidate's information with a hiring client, with the candidate's knowledge)
Legal or regulatory authorities, if required by law, subpoena, or to protect our rights
4. Cookies and Analytics
The Site may use cookies or similar technologies to understand traffic and usage patterns. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may affect how the Site functions.
5. Data Retention
We retain information for as long as necessary to provide our services, maintain business records, and comply with legal obligations. Candidate and client information related to a recruiting engagement is generally retained for the duration of that engagement and a reasonable period afterward.
6. Your Choices and Rights
Depending on your state of residence, you may have rights regarding your personal information, such as the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of information we hold about you. To make a request, contact us at [INSERT CONTACT EMAIL].
California residents: You may have additional rights under California law regarding personal information, including the right to know what personal information is collected and the right to request deletion. We do not sell personal information.
7. Children's Privacy
The Site and our services are not directed to individuals under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Third-Party Links
The Site may link to third-party tools or websites (such as our scheduling tool). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. Please review their privacy policies directly.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent changes. Continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
